And when your children ask . . .

“And Moses said to the people, “Remember this day (Passover)  in which you went out from Egypt, from the house of bondage; for with a Powerful Hand YHVH brought you out . . .” (Exo 13:3)

“In days to come, when your descendant asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ say to him, ‘With a Mighty Hand YHVH brought us out of Egypt, out of the land of bondage.” (Exo 13:14)

“And you shall tell your child on that day, saying, ‘It is because of what YHVH did for ME when I came out of Egypt (that place of bondage).'” (Exo 13:8)

So when our children ask us about this ‘passover thing’, what will we tell them? About what He did for others, or how HE brought ‘ME’ out of the bondage of sin by His Powerful Right Hand ?

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.” (Gal 2:20)

How do we do this?

Rhonda and I have not posted as many ‘tidbits’ this year concerning Passover and this season as we have in the past, due to lot’s of change and ‘busy-ness’. We were thinking back about roughly 16 years ago when our Father first started us on this portion of our walk. (It’s always good to remember from whence we come) ‘How do we do this stuff? How do we keep Passover? We don’t have a ‘hagaddah’? What are we gonna do?” And then the Ruach reminded us . . . most all of us have a ‘hagaddah’ and have had it for years. It’s The Bible.
What did our Father tell us to do? Exodus 12 and Leviticus 23 is a good place to start. We canNOT do it all, but we do what we can. And by NOT doing some of the things that are ‘place-specific’ or ‘person-specific’, we are literally being obedient and ‘doing’ what it says by not doing them. By the way, Genesis 6 and the account of Noah is ‘Passover language’.
And then, we have the order of service laid out by Yeshua . . . The Lamb, The Bread, The Cup – ‘as oft as ye do these things’ . . .and the backdrop of bitterness – ‘ye do remember The Lord’s death until He returns . . .’ The day of His resurrection was/is an appointed time of God, and it’s called early first fruits or ‘Raysheet Omer – The Day of the Wave Offering. Nowhere is it called ‘easter’. There is no meaningful resurrection without His reconciling death (Passover). Many in Scripture were resurrected. The Resurrection is not to be diminished, but there is only One Who’s death reconciled us to our Father. We are to remember His death – Passover – a pattern which was implemented in Exodus 12, a type and shadow of what was to come, and ultimately fulfilled by Yeshua and found in Him only.
Your HaGaddah? Genesis 6, Leviticus 23, The Apostolic Writings, just to mention a few. And in all those passages, we have yet to find an egg, a bunny, a basket, apples and honey or a cup for a man whom, ‘if you can accept it, has already come’.

DATE CHANGE FOR OUR PASSOVER

DATE CHANGE FOR OUR PASSOVER

When we set projected dates for the upcoming holidays, we always endeavor to be as accurate and thorough as we possibly can in the setting of those projections. But these projections are just that – projections. Although the ‘new moon conjunction’ for Kentucky was on March 27th (which would put Passover on April 10th) the first visible waxing crescent did not appear over Kentucky until a period between the 28th-29th. In the past, if the projected dates were within 24 hours or so of the ‘signs in the heavens’ we would not make a change, but this is more than that margin of error. Therefore we are moving the date for our Passover Gathering to WEDNESDAY, APRIL 12TH. Everything else concerning the event remains unchanged.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and hopefully everyone will still be able to attend.
In line with the pattern we have established in our last two group meetings, we will receive a ‘free will offering’ that will go towards evangelistic and benevolent outreach and this time the work supported will be in The Land.
Please contact us ASAP with any questions or concerns or if you have not yet sent your RSVP and intend on attending. Shalom – J&R

Yeshua is Aleph and Tav

The quote below is a portion of a post from another site that appeared in our news feed this morning. The passage of Scripture referenced below, regardless of language, says what it has always said and points to Messiah Yeshua, the perfect image of The Invisible Elohim, the inseparable Word that was in the beginning, The Word that was with God and was/is Elohim, The One who came and will return to finish what was started. The quote below denounces the validity of Yeshua as the Promised Messiah. The sad reality of this post? This dear man can read the truth and still deny The One Who is The Truth. Please pray this dear man’s eyes will be opened to The Truth, his soul to be saved, and for spiritual discernment within our camp. Shalom

“This is one of the most exciting things I have ever discovered! It is a a Hebrew manuscript of the Book of Revelation in the British Library. I read about this 13 years ago, but was never able to see it for myself until now (thanks to T-bone). The passage in the photo is Revelations 1:8, which says in this Hebrew manuscript:

“I am the Aleph and the Tav, says Yehovah the Elohim. He that is, and He that will be, and He that will come, the Shaddai.”

Would you join me in shouting!

The manuscript is dated to the 17th century, but may have been copied from an earlier source. It is now published online at:

Happy New Year . . . almost . . .

Monday March 20th 2017 is the Vernal Equinox, or the first day of astronomical spring, based on the alignment of the lights in the skies (Gen.1:14). The first new moon after this equinox will mark the 1st day of the ‘beginning of months to us’, the first month of Spring, or Aviv (Exo. 12:2). The 14th day of this first month will the day of the Passover, which, on the Gregorian calendar, will be Monday April 10th, 2017. That evening will be the beginning of the 1st day of the week of Unleavened Bread. For 7 days we will eat unleavened bread, as a memorial for us to remember that in this time we were brought out of bondage. For those that are believers in Messiah Yeshua, it is a memorial of that which was purchased for us by His the work of on the cross, deliverance from sin and death unto freedom and life eternal. He is that ‘unleavened bread that came down from heaven’.
‘For if by His death we are reconciled, then by His (resurrected) life we are saved’. (Romans 5:10)
Halleluyah B’Shem Yeshua – Shalom –

Closing doors, opening doors . . .

We have been questioned concerning our reasoning for leaving Hebrew Nation Radio. It has been surmised by some that we have just become tired or ‘burned out’ as it were, and perhaps in need of a change. Although it was a difficult decision to make, none of these are the reason we have stepped away from the radio outreach. After decades of ministry, Rhonda and I have learned this truth – if we, in all our frailty and humanity, are faithful to His call, then, as one door is closed, our Father will open another.
Hebrew Nation Radio, like any group, is made up of people . . . good people . . . people from a multitude of backgrounds and ‘upbringings’ . . . different cultural backgrounds, different socio-economic, political as well as doctrinal backgrounds. And it is not necessary for us all to agree on everything to ‘get along’. Rhonda and I have enjoyed, for over two years, the opportunity to share the truth of God’s Word by the outreach of Hebrew Nation Radio, and we say ‘thank you’ to all those we have come to know and who have assisted us during that time.
We will still be available, as time permits, to travel and teach. And, as our Father opens new doors and new venues through which to minister and disciple, we will continue to teach based on the fundamental Scriptural pillars that we have come to understand are not negotiable and cannot be compromised. The preeminence and exclusivity of Jesus/Yeshua of Nazareth as The Promised Messiah, along with His Words, mandates and directives, are just a few of those non-negotiable pillars. He is more than merely an anointed man, priest, king or prophet. He Is the Dividing Plumb Line for all time and for all humanity. He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings. He is the One who, with full knowledge and understanding of what was to come, willingly went to the cross for me; was beaten more than any man and marred beyond recognition; they plucked the beard from His face. Yeshua willingly endured unimaginable pain, suffering and torment, and He did it for me and for all who would believe. For no one comes to The Father, but by Him. Shalom

‘Jesus’ is false?

For those who would say the the word ‘Jesus’ is false . . .

The Creator of the universe ( God The Father, God The Son and God the Holy Spirit – all of whom were there) has many ‘names’, some of which are titles, some are monikers, and all are descriptive and illustrative of ‘Who God Is’.
But what is a ‘name’? Dictionary.com says it is ‘a title given to something or someone.’ The FreeDictionary.com says ‘name’ is ‘a word or combination of words used to distinguish a person, thing, or class from others.’ Webster says ‘name’ is ‘a word or set of words by which a person, animal, place or thing is known, addressed or referred to.’ And though all of these are correct, we know ‘name’ means much more.
In addition, ‘Name’ refers to the ‘legacy, reputation, sovereignty, authority, right and power of the One who carries the Name’. Growing up in the south, we understand the concept of our actions impacting ( either negatively or positively) the ‘family name’, or the reputation and legacy of that name. So, in reference to The Creator of the universe, His Name is not only that by which He is known, addressed or referred to, but rather, His Name also refers to His legacy, power, reputation, sovereignty, authority and the right to be called by those titles and monikers.
So, the debate seems to be whether or not ‘Jesus’ is a false name or a legitimate transliteration of the Hebrew ‘Yeshua’. There is overwhelming evidence from multiple sources to support the legitimacy of the transliteration and transition of ‘Yeshua’ in Hebrew to ‘Jesus’ in the English. We are not going to redo the homework on that subject, since it is readily available with just a little research.
By the way, on the concept of ‘another Gospel’, ( a phrase he uses in Corinthians and Galatians) Paul is very clear. Anything beyond ‘salvation by grace through faith alone in Yeshua of Nazareth’ is ‘another gospel’. Acts 15:1 is a perfect example of ‘another gospel’.
But on to the subject of using the word ‘Jesus’ . We would agree, damage and false teaching have been brought about by the ‘denominational system’ down through the centuries, (along with much good) and it was performed in ‘Jesus Name’. But the damage and the false was not due to a ‘name’, but rather bad doctrine, poor discipleship and not being properly grounded in the full counsel of God’s Word.
Most all understand and agree, the One we call Jesus is the One promised by our Father, born of the woman Mary, baptized by John, crucified on the day of the Passover, resurrected on the 3rd day, ascended to the Father, witnessed by many, taken up in a cloud to return at an appointed time at the end of the last days. He is the Promised Messiah of Israel. Just because we, down through the centuries, have taught things about Him that are not accurate, and/or taught things ‘in His Name’ that are incorrect and erroneous, does NOT change the fact, truth and nature of Who He is. Just because someone speaks incorrectly concerning a matter or another person, does not change the truth of that person or matter.
Whether Jesus in English, Hesus in Spanish, Isa in Kurdish, Iesu in Japanese, uJesu in Zulu, or Yesu in Swahili, all are calling on The One Who went to the cross and came out of the tomb, the Lamb of God, the One Who takes away the sin of the World. Speaking something in error concerning Him or His teaching, does NOT change the Truth of His Word and the nature of Who He is and what He came to do.
So, in response to the statement, ‘call Him whatever you want’ (a statement made by us in one of our teachings), that statement was made in reference to the recognized monikers by which He is called. And, depending on your language, culture and those to whom you have been called to minister, we suggest all to pray, study, allow the Spirit to land you on a version of ‘the name’ to use, and then move forward with our Father’s business. Rhonda and I (like many) called on the name of Jesus and He answered and saved us from our sins. To proclaim the word ‘Jesus’ to be false, calls into question the salvation and eternal destination of every English-speaking person down through time that have called on Him in faith. If ‘Jesus’ is false, then every English-speaking sinner, that had no knowledge of or access to Hebrew, was left without a means by which to call upon the One Who would pay the price for their sins. God created the languages. A righteous, equitable and merciful God would not leave you in a language without a ‘word’ by which to call upon the One sent to reconcile you and save you.
‘For whosoever shall call upon the name – the legacy, the reputation, the sovereignty, the right, the authority and the power – of The Lord shall be saved.’

WTWS My Walk and My Faith Pt 2 03 02 17

The link below to our Youtube page ( TheProdigal101 ) is the program from this past thursday, our last and final broadcast with Hebrew Nation Radio.
But don’t get excited, we are not going far . . . We will continue to share ‘fresh bread, light and salt’ as the Father provides, and you can find us not only here on Facebook, but also on our Youtube channel, our blogsite and, Lord willing, on itunes as well as Blogtalk Radio in the near future. And, as always, if we can pray with you or for you, if we can help any way, or if you have questions or would like us to come share with your home group or congregation, we are here to serve.

We are not ‘burned out’ or taking a break . . .As The Lord closes one door, He opens others, allowing us to continue the work He has called us all to – feed the hungry, clothe the needy, lay hands on the sick and pray for the brokenhearted, preach The Gospel of the King and The Kingdom, make disciples, teach obedience, and seek for all the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

And always remember, the important thing is ‘What’s The Word Say?’ . . .

Shalom – J&R

No ‘Sinner’s Prayer’ ? What’s The Word Say?

It has recently been said, ‘there is no such thing as a ‘sinner’s prayer’ anywhere in the Bible? Here is one example . . .

“ . . . God would that none would perish, but that all would come to repentance . . .“ (2 Peter 3:9)
“The tax collector stood some distance away, not daring even to raise his eyes to heaven; but he beat his breast and said, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner.”” (Luke 18:13)
“ . . . But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart”, that is, the word of FAITH we are proclaiming . . . That if you confess with your mouth, Yeshua is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:8-9)

There’s your pattern for a ‘sinner’s prayer’ . . . Repentance of sin, belief, acceptance and confession that Yeshua is Lord to the Glory of YHWH our Father. Shalom
