Eternal Life? What’s The Word Say?

“In the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with God and The Word was God . . .” (John 1:1)

I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.

19 `And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.  (Deut 18:18-19)

“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” (Matt 17:5)

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. (John 14:10)

Jesus therefore answered them, and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His Who sent Me . . .” (John 7:16)

6 Now behold, one came and said to (Yeshua), “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?

17 And (Yeshua) said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

18 He said to Him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “`You shall not murder,’`You shall not commit adultery,’`You shall not steal,’`You shall not bear false witness,’

19 `Honor your father and your mother,’ and,`You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'”

20 The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?”

21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

23 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.

24 “And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

25 When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”

26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

 (Matt 19:16-26)

Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”

18 So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.

19 “You know the commandments:`Do not commit adultery,’`Do not murder,’`Do not steal,’`Do not bear false witness,’`Do not defraud,’`Honor your father and your mother.'”

20 And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.”

21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

22 But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

23 Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!”

24 And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God!

25 “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

26 And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, “Who then can be saved?”

27 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”

 (Mark 10:17-27)

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?”

27 So he answered and said, “`You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and`your neighbor as yourself.'”

28 And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.”

 (Luke 10:25-28)

Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

19 So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.

20 “You know the commandments:`Do not commit adultery,’`Do not murder,’`Do not steal,’`Do not bear false witness,’`Honor your father and your mother.'”

21 And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.”

22 So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

23 But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich.

24 And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!

25 “For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

26 And those who heard it said, “Who then can be saved?”

27 But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”  (Luke 18:18-27)

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

15 “that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  (John 3:14-16)

“You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

40But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

(John 5:39-40)

Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.

54 “Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

55 “For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.

56 “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.

 (John 6:53-56)

Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me.

26 “But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.

27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

28 “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

29 “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.  (John 10:24-29)

Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. (1John 3:4)

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

8 “And when (The Helper) has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

 9of sin, because they do not believe in Me;

(John 16:7-9)

Therefore believing in, trusting in, depending upon, relying upon, entrusting our eternity to Messiah Yeshua/Jesus the Christ is part of the Law – the most important part.

You want to enter eternal life?   Believe on The Lord Yeshua Messiah/Jesus the Christ, and you can be saved . . . Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9
