Register Now – Sukkot 2017
PRODIGAL MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL
Presents
TABERNACLE IN THE BACKWOODS 2017
Projected Dates October 4th-12th 2017
Location – KY Christian Assembly Camp
22 acres of beautiful Kentucky Fall countryside
Brodhead, Rockcastle County, Kentucky 40409
This is a private, limited access summer camp nestled in the backwoods of Rockcastle County Kentucky, just outside Brodhead, 15 minutes from Renfro Valley. There are tent sites, limited camper spots, as well as barrack-style accommodations. These are the ‘Barracks-style’ bunkhouse buildings that are used by the kids for summer camp . . . they are not individual cabins. THESE BUILDINGS ARE SEGREGATED, ‘MALE’ AND FEMALE’, so, please keep that in mind as you make your plans. We will ‘tweak’ these barracks for those unable to stay in their tent or camper and, as well as for our ‘seasoned citizens’ and those with special needs. We will also use the barracks for those that are staying for just one night or so and cannot or do not desire to setup a tent or camper. Please plan on using your tent or camper if at all possible, but the barracks are available. And there are bathroom/shower facilities with multiple shower stalls, sinks and toilets within the barracks buildings. PLEASE be sure and bring all sleeping bags, linens, towels, etc that you might need. Now, moving on . . .
🙂
The cost for the use of this facility is $10.00 per day per family group, or $72.00 for the entire 8-day event. WE WILL HAVE GUEST SPEAKERS DURING THE WEEK AND WILL RECEIVE A FREE-WILL OFFERING AT EACH EVENING SESSION TO PROVIDE FOR AND BE A BLESSING TO THESE SPEAKERS. PLEASE COME PREPARED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS AS BEST YOU CAN.
We always set a large table in the main common area for drinks, snacks, breakfast cereals, coffee, etc and ask all to participate in providing those things. As in years past, everyone takes breakfast and lunch at their leisure. For our daily evening common meals, we have access to a nice ‘lunch-room style’ serving and prep area within the main eating/meeting hall. We also have access to outdoor sheltered meeting areas, campfire sites, walking/hiking trails, basketball, volleyball, prayer garden and much more.
We will have a ‘set menu’ for the common evening meals and we will be posting that menu for these evening common meals no later than Sept 12th to allow sufficient time to plan.
Although we are in a secluded location, there are grocery stores and variety stores within 10-15 drive. Propane is available at some of these locations. Heaven forbid, but in the event of an emergency, there is a Regional Medical Center approximately 15 minutes from the camp, as well as folks on site with First Aid training.
As we make plans for ACTIVITIES FOR THE KIDS (both fun and life-lesson activities) it will be very helpful to know the ages of the kids in your family or group. Please forward that info ASAP . . . Thanks
There will be an informal Bible study/discussion each morning before the noon meal time and time for break-out sessions in the afternoon. Each evening, after the evening common meal, there will be a corporate time in which all encouraged to participate, a time of worship and praise, ministry, prayer (as The Spirit leads) as well as a time of teaching/discussion.
Our good friend Craig Caudill of Nature Reliance School will be with us during the week, Lord willing, to present an introductory class on Krav Maga as well as share on various other aspects of personal protection and prudent survival techniques. Other events and speakers TBA.
The earlier you register, the better we can plan. To make your reservation, or for more information, contact us here or by or email or phone, and you can find all our contact info at www.ProdigalMinistries.WordPress.com on the ‘Contact Us’ tab. Shalom – J&R
SUKKOT 2017 UPDATE
SUKKOT 2017
We had so much positive feedback concerning our Sukkot location and facilities after last year’s gathering that we have reserved the same campground for this year’s event. The projected dates are Oct.4th -12th. WE ARE ALSO PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE that the folks from Yah’s Fellowship in Barbourville KY will be joining us this year for the 8-day event. We are anticipating a great week of fellowship, worship, praise, teaching and God’s Presence. If you have not scheduled your vacation time or time off for this year’s gathering, NOW is the time. IF you have already scheduled your time off and it is not during that week, now is the time to ‘reschedule’.
something to consider . . .
Yeshua/Jesus – THE TRUE BRIDGE that gathers ALL that will – both Israel and the Nations – to our Father.
And if we call upon HIM with a sincere heart, HE Will answer,
‘ . . . for He says, “At the acceptable time I listened to you, And on the day of salvation I helped you; behold, now is the acceptable time, behold, NOW is the day of salvation “– (2 Cor 6:2
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Rom 10:13)
“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him, and honor him. (Psa 91:15)
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. (Isa 65:24)
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jer 33:3)
When does HE answer? Today . . .
Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. (Joh 14:6)
‘And now, little children, abide in Him (now); that, when He shall appear (future), we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at his coming.’ (1Jo 2:28)

Support Israel?
There is a video making the rounds (you won’t see it on our pages) concerning an annual LGBTQ event in Tel Aviv. hmmm . . . an event not unlike things that go on here in the states and around the planet on a daily basis. Many people have commented that events like this are one reason ‘they’ will not support Israel. During our first trip to Israel in 2004, after wrestling with being ‘disenchanted’ with how secular Israel appeared, The Lord spoke and said ‘The Land’s not ready yet.’ It seems sin is universal and exists across the earth, even in Israel. Somehow, for some reason, we hold Israel to a higher standard than the rest of the world. Curious . . . since they are just like the rest of us . . . some believers, some not; some saved, some lost; some confused, some not; some in light and some in darkness. See we must remember the physical land and occupants is God’s Land and He will deal with the situation there when the time comes. We, in the meantime, are to pray for the Land and the shalom of Jerusalem. God said He would bless those that bless Israel and bring a curse on those that esteem Israel lightly or trifle with them. The Israel that we support? The ones that literally risk life and limb on constant basis to share the Gospel, to walk out the Truth of Yeshua/Jesus in the face of unbelievable opposition; that’s the Israel we support. The Israel we support is the One made up of people sharing the Truth of The Messiah in spite of this perverted event in their midst, in spite of constant attempts by the anti-missionary movement to silence them, a movement unwittingly at times supported by HR and protestant congregations here in the states and around the world. n The Israel we support are those that are making a difference in the lives of so many in The Land on a daily basis by sharing the Gospel of Yeshua/Jesus with those in The Land, and sharing at the risk of be being deported from their homes and jobs and families, never to be allowed to return. How easy it is for us to sit here and point our fingers at them and how they allow such terrible things in their Land when we allow the very same things to go on in our communities, schools, colleges, governments and churches and congregations here. God forgive our arrogance and self-centered-ness.
REMINDER – MARK YOU CALENDARS NOW!!
REMINDER – MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW! Craig Caudill, a dear friend and director of Nature Reliance School will be with us on Sunday afternoon, June 25th @1:30, for a hands-on ‘walk in the woods’. We will be discussing (as we walk) not only edible plants and other uses of Kentucky’s varied flora, but also other skill sets (such as tracking and trapping) that can prove invaluable in an emergency or survival situation.
We have also asked Craig to bring copies of His newly released book (which is selling like hotcakes) entitled ‘EXTREME WILDERNESS SURVIVAL’.
If you plan to attend, we need your confirmation ASAP. You can contact us here or by phone/text 859 582 5525. We will provide directions upon request.
There is not a fee for attending, but we will receive a free-will offering, so come prepared to support Craig and his family for the work they do and their willingness to do it.

Yeshua . . . the dividing Line?
The prospect of allowing non-believers to speak and teach in our fellowships and congregations of believers is what started us down the path of this article today. First, let’s define, for the sake of this article, the terms ‘non-believers’ and ‘believers’. ‘Believers’ are those, regardless of ethnicity, who have accepted Yeshua/Jesus of Nazareth as the Promised Messiah of Israel as prophesied in the Tanakh (Old Testament) and manifested and portrayed in the Apostolic Writings (New Testament). Conversely, ‘non-believers’, for purposes of this article, would be those that deny or reject the concept of Yeshua/Jesus of Nazareth as the Promised Messiah, regardless of ethnicity or background.
Allowing anyone to speak before the members within our fellowships and congregations is a responsibility and decision that should never be approached lightly. Â Allowing a non-believer to address our groups should be a rare decision made with even greater scrutiny and contemplation. For the record, in our personal interactions in the past with these individuals, we have found them, at least on the surface, to be people of integrity and good character, good people (as people go) . We feel certain that any of these folks would no doubt prove to be good neighbors, people it would be a privilege to call ‘friend’.
The heart of the matter here is actually not about these people per say, but rather our responsibility as leaders, members, and, most importantly, as believers in Messiah Yeshua. In the early portion of the 1st century 2nd temple era, the defining and dividing issue of the day was ‘Yeshua of Nazareth as the Promised Messiah of Israel’ and His preeminence, exclusivity and supremacy. The question we must ask ourselves in this camp is whether or not we have come back to that same point again.
The deeper issue is not the people themselves that we allow to come in and teach, but rather the failings, at times, of some of the leadership in our HR camp. We have failed, at times, to properly guard our portion of ‘the garden’, and with that failure we have allowed the spirit of anti-messiah to infiltrate the camp and pick-up off some of the weaker members of the flock. And, when that failure of the leadership shows itself in our congregations, each member of that flock has the personal responsibility to stand for Truth and Light and stand just as firmly against that which is false and brings darkness and death . We know and understand these non-believing individuals in question are not only good and honest and reputable people but they are also zealous for their beliefs and convictions. We in this camp should be just as zealous. But by allowing access to the flock to those that simply exhibit zeal for Israel and the written Torah, perhaps because they are jewish and have information that we desire, we have actually, if only passively, facilitated the diminishing of the preeminence, exclusivity and supremacy of Messiah Yeshua, The Living Word.
There are those in Israel that literally risk life and limb on a daily basis as they stand against the anti-missionary, anti-messiah forces in The Land. They risk all every day to uphold, defend and preach the supremacy of Yeshua, and are maligned, demeaned, beaten and have their very livelihoods, lives and families threatened because of their faith and their stance for The Truth of Yeshua. No, we are NOT advocating the unbelievers’ type of violent zeal to be employed for what we KNOW to be true, but why are we so many times willing to acquiesce in the face of what we know to be false? Is it that we do not want to be divisive? Are we fearful of being offensive? What’s The Word Say? Yeshua, by His very presence, was and is divisive. The convicting presence of the Ruach is always divisive. Yeshua said ‘I bring a sword’. How much more divisive could we be? We don’t go out everyday with the intention of being divisive and offensive, but Yeshua said to expect it. God has laid a stumbling stone, a rock of offense in Zion, a stone that is the chief corner and capstone. All who throw themselves upon it will live, but those on whom it falls will be crushed.’ By allowing ANYONE that openly rejects the truth of Yeshua as Messiah to minister to the flock, we, by our failure to stand for The One Who Is The Truth, have passively denied the truth concerning The One Who Is The Truth, and have failed as watchmen on our respective walls. This is not about any one person or group of people or ethnicity or religion. It’s about Yeshua and The Truth. It’s about whether we will stand for Truth or bow in acquiescence. Are we seeing once again Yeshua as the Dividing Line within the ‘hebrew camp’?
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth NOT is condemned already, because he hath NOT believed in the only begotten Son of God. (Joh 3:16-18) Â Shabbat Shalom and Shavuot Sameach.
