Blood is thicker than . . .

As we watch things unfold in the Middle East between Israel and her ‘neighbors’, always keep two things in mind. One, that we are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, understanding that true peace will not come until the Prince of Peace returns. And two, there is a ‘family tie’ between these that stand against Israel. The Palestinians of today are the Philistines of the days of Abraham and King David. The word ‘philistine’ means ‘immigrant’ and they are descendants of Ham through Mitzrayim ( Egypt ) . The statement has been made that Morsi of Egypt is in a dilemma, torn between his empathy for Hamas ( violence ) and his financial connection to the U.S. ( which is a spiritual picture of Egypt in the last days with a healthy dash of Babylon thrown in ) . But in the end, blood is thicker than the ink on the money and Egypt will side with the rest of her ‘family’. But that too will pass, for in the end there is a goodly connection between Israel and Egypt and Syria. But not so good for Babylon.  How so ? How do I know ? The bible tells me so . . . more to come . . .

Blessings and Shalom  B’Shem Yeshua —

Happy ‘New Moon’ . . .

Psalm 81:3 Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the LORD.

Col 2:16 So let no one judge you in questions of food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths,
17 which are a shadow of things to come, and the substance of which is Christ.

Thursday Nov. 15 2012  New moon sited in Ky this evening.  Rosh Chodesh Sameach

Well, here we go . . .but where ?

I am reminded of the passage in 1 Chronicles 21 where King David sinned greatly in the eyes of YHVH and GOD gave David a choice concerning the judgement against the nation for the sin. The choices ? three years of famine, three months in the hand of man or three days in the Hand of Abba. David chose to throw himself and his people into the hands and great mercies of his God.  Prior to King David, there was King Saul. Not a bad sort of guy . . . good looking, charismatic, even a little religious at times. But this was not the type of leadership and government intended by GOD for that people. But the people wanted a change. and GOD gave them exactly what they asked for.

Father GOD has been warning this nation about our sins against HIM for sometime. This is not a ‘thus sayeth the LORD’. But ever since the election this one thought keeps coming to my mind. Four years ago this nation had a choice as to how we would proceed as a nation based on our choice of a new leader. We believed then just as we believe now – judgement is inevitable for this nation. It is not that one leader rather than another would prevent judgement. But rather , our choice of leader would determine how the judgement would be meted out. Four years ago our nation chose a leader that promised ‘change’. At that point our country started down a road of ‘change’ that most could not have imagined and many would not have thought possible . . . not in America.
But here we are, four years later and, as a nation, have confirmed that choice by the re-election of that same choice. It is as if we had opportunity back then and we pulled the wrong lever and now we must live with our choice. My concern is that this ‘choice’ is the beginning of the end of this nation as we know it. You can only shed innocent blood for so long . . . you can only promote biblically abominable practices for so long . . . you can poke your finger in the eye of GOD for only so long . . . and then there is a price to pay. And I believe that we have entered the ‘payment phase’ . . . and it is not going to be pretty.  But we have some examples in Scripture that will actually give us hope ( expectancy ) and direction in these days. We will look at some of those in the next few days. The KEY will be  –  ‘to where do we look for our help’ . . . we must look to the LORD, maker of heaven and earth . . . and we will have a part to play and right decisions to make, just as in the days of Noah and righteous Lot.  For now, pray for mercy . . . wisdom . . . discernment . . . and pray the petition of Abraham . . . for by it GOD delivered the righteous through the judgement. Shalom –

So, what now . . .?

So, if the ‘Pharaoh that knew not Joseph’ ( and by extension, Joseph’s God ) get’s re-elected, how
do the people of God go about trying to interpret that outcome ?
Daniel, chapter 2 tells us that God sets up rulers and brings them down . . . by the same token the
Prophet Hosea tells us in chapter 8 that rulers and authorities are ‘set up but NOT by Me, says the LORD’.
So, how do we, as people of God, sort this all out ?
There is a concept in the Word that sometimes Abba gives us exactly what we ask for, even though it is
NOT good for us.
I have heard alot about the ‘race card’. Barak Obama could NOT have gotten elected or re-elected withOUT
the white, evangelical vote in this country. I have never understood how a man that supports abortion and
the homosexual lifestyle and same sex marriage and turns ‘our backs’ on Israel could receive a vote
from a professing christian.
This whole thing smacks of judgement from GOD on a nation that has turned it’s back on HIM and provoked
HIM to HIS face by going out of it’s way to walk contary to HIS ways and words.
But the GOOD news ? Jeremiah preached judgement and it came, and GOD covered Jeremiah.
Daniel stood for GOD and GOD covered him in the midst of an oppressive godless government and society.
GOD brought judgement on Sodom and Gomorrah and delivered through the judgement the FOUR that
belonged to HIM . . . talk about a remnant . . .
It is time to ‘walk the talk’ and ‘talk the truth’ . . . to quit playing church and get down to business with GOD.
It is pass time to worry about the denominational dogma and and get down to ‘brass tacks’ concerning what the
Word has to say about the days in which we find ourselves. And we need a good dose of the Holy Spirit to enable
us to ‘know what we cannot know and see what we cannot see and understand what we cannot understand’ . . .
THAT us how we get through these days.
When was the last time you asked Abba for an outpouring of His Spirit in your life and your home and family ?
When was the last time you asked the Spirit of God to show you how to ‘fan into flame’ the giftings you have
already been given ?  NOW would be a very good time to start.

And remember – ‘Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Messiah Yeshua’.
‘be shrewd as serpents and harmless as doves’ . . .for you are in the world, but not of it .  blessings –

WHERE DO WE STAND ?

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you.
Psalm 122:6

I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who slights you or esteems you lightly;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be gathered.
Genesis 12:3

He covers me there with His Hand . . .

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls:  for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.
Leviticus (Vayikra) 17:11
We’ve talked about how the Hebrew word for ‘gospel’ or ‘good news’ is the word ‘basar’( bet shin resh) and ‘basar’ is also the word for ‘flesh’ . . . and the connection ? The ‘good news’ is that Messiah has come in the flesh to redeem our souls from the sins of the flesh.
“ . . . for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of GOD is eternal life through Messiah Yeshua . . .”  Romans 6:23
. . .the life of the flesh is in the blood . . .
This is a two-fold statement. It is obviously true in the physical . . . but also in another way in the spiritual. For not only is the ‘life of the flesh’
-basar – in the blood physically, but also the ‘life of the gospel’ – basar –
is in the Blood.
For without the shedding of blood, there can be no remission of sin.
Hebrews 9:22
. . . but not just any ‘blood’ . . .
but with His own Blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.  Heb 9:12

Lev. 23 : 27 ” . . . the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a special called assembly for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.
28 “And you shall do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the LORD your God.
31 “You shall do no manner of work; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
32 “It shall be to you a sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict your souls; on the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall celebrate your sabbath.”
Why ? Because Messiah Yeshua went to the cross for me and HE did not have to  . . .
Can I do any less than what He has asked ?   Blessings –

Clean-up time . . .

There is a children’s song that says “Clean-up, clean-up, everybody clean-up . . .” Well that’s the time that we find ourselves in as we look towards Yom Kippur. It;s ‘clean-up time’ . . . Yeshua spoke of those that cleaned the outside of the cup and left the inside dirty. We tend to focus on the part that is seen, whereas the hidden, inside part is what Abba is concerned with. For HE looks on the heart.
Rhonda made the comment that vertical relationship with our Father has to be ‘right’ before the horizontal relationship with one another can be.

Is there anything ‘clogging’ the pipeline between me and my heavenly Father ? If so, I first need to fix that problem… and humility and repentance and obedience is the ‘plumber of choice’ . . .then and only then can there be the proper relationship with those around me . . .  But WE can’t do the clean-up all on our own . . . and it’s an ongoing process . . . If you have kids, you understand that concept . . .:)

King David prayed this way : 6 Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.

This from a man who already had an intimate relationship with Yahweh. But just like any relationship that is worth having, it takes constant attention.  How’s your ‘heavenly pipeline’ ?   Blessings –

. . . without spot or wrinkle . . .

Between Leviticus 23:25 and 23:27 there is a period of 10 days that have come to be known as the ‘ Days of Awe ‘ . . .

We understand to some degree the concept of The Feast of Trumpets ( Yom Teruah ) being  the day of the blast or sounding of the alarm for what is to come. Ten days later is the Day of Atonement, the day of the kippur – the covering of the sins of Israel. It is also the annoucement of the coming of the Great King. There is the picture in these ten days of preparation for those things to come. What does it mean to me as a believer in these days ?

We will deal with this concept in the next few days as we ‘prepare’ for the Day of Atonement and look at this as a time of introspection and self-examination and repentance.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
Ephesians 5:27 . . . that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless.
Matt 5: 23 “If therefore you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,
24 leave your offering there before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Until tomorrow, Shalom U’Vrachot B’Messiah Yeshua – Peace & Blessings in Messiah Yeshua –  J & R
