September 25th, beginning at sundown the evening before, is the Biblical Feast of Trumpets or Yom Teruah – Day of the Blast. On some calendars it is referred to as Rosh Hashanah (The Head of the Year) or the Jewish New Year. We won’t take time here to address these other titles but will use the Biblical terms ‘Day of the Blast’ or ‘Feast of Trumpets’. We will, however, take a moment and look at this rather obscure-appearing celebration in the Biblical text and see if it has any relevance to non-Jewish folks today.
First, what is the purpose of ‘trumpets’ are ‘the blasts’ according the Scripture ? Leviticus 23:24 reads “ in the seventh ( Biblical) month on the first of the month, you shall have a Sabbath, a reminder or memorial by blowing ( Teruah – Blasts) of trumpets, a holy set-part assembling. ( parentheses added) Numbers chapter 10 indicates trumpets are to summon the camp and direct it’s movement; to summon the leaders to gather; to sound the advance; 9 “When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, you shall sound an alarm (Teruah) with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the LORD your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.”   10 “Also in the day of your gladness, in your appointed feasts, and at the beginning of your months, you shall blow the trumpets . . .”    And accordingly, these ‘blasts’ are individual and distinct and each with a purpose. Paul makes mention of this in his first letter to the Corinthians by saying “For if the trumpet produces an indistinct sound, who will know to prepare for battle?” 14:8
In Revelation there are seven trumpets and Psalm 81 mandates we ‘blow (Teqia) the trumpet on each new moon, and at the Full Moon Feast Days ( Passover and Tabernacles). Again Paul speaks to the congregation at Corinth with these words –
“ in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised and those that remain shall be changed.”   In Exodus 19 the trumpet heralded the very Presence of God and preceded His speaking. 1 Thess. 4:16 tells us “the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout,(Teruah) with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.” And the Prophet Joel urges to ‘Blow the trumpet in Zion. Sound the alarm . . . for the Day of the Lord is at hand . . .”
We see God using the ‘trumpet’ for a multitude of reasons. He summons His people, assembles them and directs the movements of the camp. The trumpet is used in the time of war as well as in our celebrations and our seasons of joy. The trumpet alerts the people, sounds the alarm and awakens the camp. It even announces the coming, the speaking and the very Presence of the King.    So how does that apply to me today?  Ponder this for a little while until we continue our exploration of ‘Trumpets’.

“( ok this Rhonda ). What????!!!!! A man thinks the sexiest part of a woman is her hair? You got to be kidding me!!! If you don’t have the face or the body ( being blunt here) to go along with it a man will not care what your hair looks like!!!! These are purely in the flesh reasons to do something and make it look spiritual! Where is the command in Torah that says….”a woman shall cover her head”…? It is not in there!! The Father is VERY plain and to the point and doesn’t leave us guessing on His commands and what He expects of His children. The problem is what He says is never what we want to do! We either want to add to or take away!! And because of that we start coming up with our own set of rules and then try to convince others that this is right and proper. I see this happening in Christianity and the Hebrew Roots movement. Is what the Father gave us, His commandments, not enough? It surely keeps me busy trying to observe what He said without adding a bunch of my own! I trust Him that He has given me all I need to walk before Him and be pleasing according to all His instructions ( not my own spin on things). This post is from a 63 year old woman that has been on both sides of the fence, that is Christianity and Hebrew Roots and in my younger days ( not proud of it) have been around the block or two. Some of the lame excuses being espoused to put women under bondage to man ( because this IS NOT a Torah principle) is sad and quite dismaying I must say. If this lady or anyone else feels they want to wear a headcovering then that is what THEY need to do. Please don’t be espousing that those that don’t wear one aren’t modest! That is causing and putting condemnation on women for the sake of pleasing man…..IMHO”

“Jerry here . . . well, here’s my 2-cents worth. This infuriates me. If a woman feels a personal conviction to wear head coverings, or long-sleeved shirts or no nail polish or whatever, then that woman should follow that personal conviction and we will defend that person’s right to do so. But to use and manipulate this young woman to promote a self-righteous dogma that is NOT biblical doctrine is inexcusable. IF the hair on my wife’s head being exposed causes you to lust, then pardner you’ve got issues and you probably need to sit through a deliverance session or two. This is the biggest bunch of religious drivel I’ve heard in a long time. To question the ‘modesty’ of a woman by whether or not she wears head coverings (or at least puts her hair up) elevates being asinine, insulting and ‘Pharisaic’ to new heights. It propagates condemnation, promotes another form of bondage on women and reveals the fact that ‘religious spirits’ are alive and well in the HR / Messianic camp. “Gee, I thought since we had learned a few hebrew words we were above all that . . .” well I guess we need to think again . . . I challenge anyone to show me one, just one direct command in Torah for a woman to cover her hair. And don’t give me that ‘implied command’ nonsense. We had that in the church about sunday and easter and christmas and it don’t work. I can ‘imply’ anything.”

Isn’t it neat how you can read passages over and again and suddenly see a connection that you haven’t seen before. Of course, it’s because the WORD is living, breathing and constantly moving to point us where we need to go, showing us what we need to see and speaking what we need to hear.
We were reading in Exodus 39 and ran across the verses describing the turban for the High Priest, a one of a kind article for a one of a kind office. We noticed something that’s always been there . . . just hadn’t seen the connection before.
In Exodus 39:28 and following it speaks of the headdress of the High Priest. They were to fashion a gold plate, engrave it ‘HOLY TO YHWH’ and attach the gold plate to the turban with a ‘blue cord’ ( pathil tekeleth ) . Where else do we see a ‘blue cord’ ?
Numbers 15: 38 describes a ‘blue cord’ ( pathil tekeleth ) in the tzit tzitot
( the tassels ) that are there to remind us to walk according to HIS ways and not our own, to be ‘HOLY TO YHWH’ .
We are not Levites or ‘sons of Aaron’, but we ARE priests after the order of Melchizedek – Yeshua – High Priest forever. We ARE a ‘kingdom of priests’, a holy nation ( Exo. 19:6, 1 Peter 2:5, Rev. 1:6 ) And we are to be in His image, the One Who is the perfect image of our Father ( 2 Cor 4:4 ) . HE is our example ( 1 Peter 2:21 ), literally a document to be copied exactly ( Gr – hupogrammos ) . And what document would that be ? The Word, for HE is the Living Word.
Yeshua kept the Sabbath, kept the feasts, walked according to the ways of His Father, and yes, wore the tzit tziot with the ‘blue cord’. Why ? Because He was Jewish ? No. Because He was and is an obedient Son of the Father, the living, breathing Torah ( the Word became flesh . . . John 1:1 ).
Matt 5:17 “ Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
If we are born again, then we are His children. We can either walk in Yeshua’s example of obedience or walk contrary to His example, which is disobedience.
The ‘blue cord’ . . . a picture of who we are in Messiah Yeshua . . . holy, set-apart . . . ‘a kingdom of priests, a holy nation, high priests after the order of Melchizedek, anointed and appointed by the Blood of the Lamb . . . the whole House of Israel.
Eph 2 11” . . . Therefore remember you were formerly Gentiles by birth . . . 12 remember that you were at that time separated from Messiah, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Messiah.
The wearing of the tzit tziot reminds me I am a child of the covenant . . . and if a child, then an heir . . . and a joint heir with Messiah . . . HOLY TO YHWH.

The remaining time is spent sharing what The Lord has shown him is coming on America if she does not repent. He also shares what The Lord says regarding preparation for what is coming. This was recorded in 2012 and some things have already taken place since then.

     Here in a few short weeks we will enter the time of the fall feasts of The LORD and the Ingathering of The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot). We will have completed another yearly cycle of the Torah readings and come to the final portion – Vezot HaBerachah – ‘And This is The Blessing’. ‘HaBerachah’ is a word for ‘the blessing’. But this is not just any blessing. Vezot is an unusual word. It is an adjective according to grammar, and means ‘and this’, as pointing to something very specific. It is spelled ‘vav, zayin, aleph, tav. (Take note, anytime we see the ‘AlephTav’ together – ‘the first and the last’, the beginning and the end – we need to ‘take note’). The ‘Vav’ is the ‘nail’ that connects heaven and earth.. ‘Zayin’ is a weapon, a shining sword, brightness, light. Interestingly. the gemmatria ( numeric value) of zayin is ‘seven’ depicting an oath. If you spell out the word’zayin’ it’s gemmatria is 77, or two sevens, if you will. Perhaps for Ephraim and Judah?
So we are not speaking of just any ‘berachah’, just any blessing. We are speaking of ‘Vezot’, this particular blessing in which we can see a picture of the Father and the Son and the performance of the ‘oath’ spoken in the garden. The Word that was from before the beginning – The AlephTav – willingly allows His heel to be bruised but will crush the head of the enemy. This One, the Son of our Father, is the Vav – the nail that connects heaven and earth – and He is the ‘-Zayin’ – the Weapon, the two-edged Sword that is the Light of the world and the Light and Life to mankind. It is This Blessing, the Blessing from our Father, the Promised Messiah that is depicted in this word and blessing. He is the Promised King of Yeshurun when all the tribes are gathered together, which is the time of Sukkot, the Great Harvest and Ingathering (Zechariah 14).
Funny how all this comes together.

But before we can step into Sukkot, there is Yom Teruah – Feast of Trumpets – which announces the coming of something of tremendous magnitude. And there is Yom Kippur – Atonement – which must be completed against all those that still rebel and refuse Our Father’s Gift and Blessing.
But before we arrive at the Homecoming of Homecomings, there is much to endure spiritually, as well as physically and emotionally. We must prepare for all three in all the ways Abba would lead, direct and provide. And when we have done all, then we stand firm on the Rock and see the Salvation of the ages.
“Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by The LORD? He is your shield (Magen) and Helper and your Glorious Sword. Your enemies will cower before you, and you will trample down their high places.” Deuteronomy 33:29
“11 Therefore, remember that formerly you who were Gentiles by birth . . . 12 remember that at that time you were separate from Messiah, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Messiah Yeshua, you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Messiah.” Ephesians 2

      When I read what the Lord had given these two women (posted below), I was stirred in my spirit concerning what the Father had spoken to me back in 2001-2002 concerning judgment coming on America. I had been listening to Christian music on the radio when the host came on and introduced a man who shared a dream the Lord had given him about judgment falling on this nation. Listening to his dream I knew in my spirit what he was saying was true and I was extremely grieved. This was the first time I had ever heard anything like this. We were still attending a Baptist church and the Father had not yet started our move into the understanding of the hebrew roots of our faith.
      As a result of being so grieved in my spirit I began to pray and cry out to the Lord concerning what I had heard. I remember saying to Him “it’s not fair! We don’t all do abortions or homosexuality or murder.” I could not understand why He would punish all of us because of some who do those things. Early one morning I got up to do my prayer and daily reading in the Word when He directed me to Ezek. 24 and Ezek. 18 (in that order) as an answer to my question and prayer to Him. I was quite surprised that when I got to Ezek. 18. At least one of the translations I was looking at actually said (v.25) “yet you say, it is not fair . . .” Boy did that get my attention!!!!! The way verse 25 reads in the NIV is – “Yet you say, The way of the Lord is not just. Hear, O house of Israel: Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust?”
      Well, it took a while for me to completely understand what Ezek. 18 was talking about and that realization did not fully manifest until we came to a clearer understanding of Torah, the violation of which is the issue in Ezek. 18. The Father has also given me and others additional confirmation both through His Word and through dreams. Ezek. 18 can be summed up in verse 31-32…..”Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declare the Sovereign YHWH. Repent and live!……..
     There have been many within the body of believers that have received words, dreams and visions about those things that are coming upon the earth. The LORD is faithful to continue to both warn and send encouragement to His people. Below are two different revelations received and put forth for the edification of the body. There is no date-setting in these writings. Timing is a matter belonging to our Father. Our responsibility is to speak and heed His Word.

INCREDIBLE

Prepare for the times, My children. You must prepare yourselves for what is coming if you are to survive it while doing my bidding.

Times coming will be like no time you have ever known before. Many of you do not even wish to live through it, and many more will not, when the times arrive, because of the horrors you shall see.

What is coming to the earth defies the imaginations of mere men. It will be more incredible than any thoughts, ideas, or Hollywood movies any of you have ever seen.

The preparations you need to make are to prepare your souls, your eyes, your ears, for a world unlike anything you have seen even in your most incredible dreams.

Killing shall abound, and life will have little value. Seeing the dead in the streets of your cities will become common place.

Plagues shall come to all parts of the world. Some shall be man-made and used for destruction. Others shall be a result of the sins of My people in the world.

Government in some places will be non-existent as evil forces fight to control My people, and nations crumble.

No place shall be safe from the evil that is coming. Only by abiding in Me will you be saved from this. Only those who walk so closely with Me as to be in My shadow can survive and do My will.

Draw nearer to Me, My children, Draw nearer to Me, that you may endure the horrors to come with the end of days.

Psalm 57:1 Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

Psalm 91:1-6 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

GOD’S TIME OF PREPARATION AND PURPOSE

I have had a stirring in my spirit the past few months regarding the new season that the Body of Christ has entered. I keep hearing the words: “The old and the new are merging as one.” As I was waiting on the Lord the morning of August 17th, I heard Him speak these words:

A Personal Word for God’s People

“My people have entered into a time of great purpose and preparation. I am preparing My yielded ones to be a landing strip that receives all that I desire to bring forth in this strategic time in history. I am clearing the debris in order to make room for the things of Heaven to come to Earth. I am clearing both lives and land that were created to be green pastures in the days to come.
“Disappointments and hope deferred have taken root, causing thorn bushes to overtake many who are called for such a time as this. I am removing the root of bitter disappointment in those who will respond to My invitation to restoration. I have sent My angels to usher you to the green pastures of My Spirit where you will be healed, nourished and restored.”

A Corporate Word for Lands and Nations

The Lord says, “I am revealing and restoring ancient gates at this time. These ancient gates have been long forgotten and forsaken, but I am once again revealing them to those who have eyes to see what My Spirit is doing. I am sending My chosen ones to repair the ancient gates.
“Like in the days of Nehemiah, when the city walls were in disrepair, I am sending many to the lands where ancient gates are located. These are places where The King of Glory will appear in order to accomplish My end-time purposes. “I have places throughout the Earth where I am opening up portals of Heavenly supply for the preparation of the Great Harvest that is coming soon. There are lands of promise and places of strategic purpose that I will lead both individuals and ministries to dwell in. I am preparing places that will be storehouses for My people at this time.
“The ancient and the new are merging as one in this hour; the beginning and the end are intersecting. In the midst of violent times I am establishing peace and bringing forth peace makers and peace keepers. In the midst of drought I will pour out My latter rain.”
The Lord says, “Even now I am recruiting those who are willing to leave all and follow where I will lead them. They will be sent to the ancient gates, the predestined cities where peace, purpose and praise will open the gates and restore the land. These sent ones will not fear the evil one; they will overcome him through their faith, their trust and their obedience to My voice. Faith’s assurance will be their strength.”

The Coming Harvest: A Word for the Body

A great harvest is coming to Earth and God is preparing both people and places. As the Lord has spoken, there will be storehouses established in this new season. I believe that these storehouses will be both small and large.
Some will be in homes and on personal properties, while others will be in cities and on large property owned by Christian ministries and businessmen and women. There are workers, even now, being called to be a part of what the Lord is building in preparation at this time. I hear the Spirit speaking these words of encouragement:
“I, the Lord, will provide for all the work of preparation. I will bring wealth to the storehouses and to those who are called to be gatekeepers and those who are called to repair the walls. I will raise up those who have wealth to support those who are preparing the way and clearing the land for My great harvest. Do not miss the time of My invitation. Do not miss this time of great purpose and preparation. You are My chosen ones.”
