So What’s The Word Say? June 4, 2015

‘The Woman At The Well’ in John 4, like most Scripture, has prophetic significance
beyond what we were taught in our ‘biblical upbringing’. In this week’s session, we look
at the prophetic end-time significance of this passage which is the fulfillment of judgement
and restoration promised all the way back in the book of Hosea. Included is a picture of Ezekiel’s
two sticks, Paul’s wild and natural branches and the concept that the restoration of ALL things
has been in process for roughly the last 2,000 years and connects dots from Genesis to Revelation.’

Just a Thought or two . . .

If a hebrew man ‘sells’ himself to you, he can serve you six years and we will set him free at the beginning of the 7th year . . . he must only serve you 6 years. The Jubilee is announced at Yom Kippur at the end of the 49th year and the beginning of the 50th year. if there is a pattern and precedent in this, then it would seem to reason the sabbatical or 7th year would begin at the end of the 6th year and the debt would be erased at the beginning of that sabbatical year. if that is the case ( and it seems to be the pattern in Scripture) then Sept 2001 and Sept 2008 were the beginnings of each respective sabbatical year and not the end. That would place the BEGINNING of the next sabbatical year in the fall of 2015 instead of this fall being the end of a sabbatical year. That would make 2015-2016 the next sabbatical year . . . now let’s talk about Jubilee. In our thinking (we know that can be a scary concept for some smile emoticon ) the closest thing to a Jubilee we have seen in the last 100 years would have been 1917 (Balfour Declaration) and 1967 (Israel takes back Jerusalem and other promised territory). IF . . . IF . . . . IF . . . 1917 and 1967 were Jubilees then the pattern would layout for the fall of 2016 going into 2017 as the next Jubilee, which would make 2015-2016 not only a Sabbath year but also the 49th year and then 2016-2017 would be a Jubilee. By the way – the 50th year is also the first year of the next 7 year cycle. Now . . . IF . . . IF . . .what if 2016-2017 is a 50th year and the first year of the next 7 year cycle . . . could that next cycle be Daniel’s 70th week, a 7-year period ending at Sukkot ( Zech 14) with the return of Messiah and the beginning of the Millennium ? And if we count back 42 months from Sukkot we wind up at Passover . . . and if we count back another 42 months we are at Sukkot and the Fall Feasts . . . The last days DID begin at Messiah’s coming (Acts 2) and His earthly ministry time WAS the culmination of the ages ( Hebrews 9:26) . . . ? just a thought . . .worship image 7

PRAISE REPORT !!

The emotion you experience when your children and grandchildren come to know the Lord defies description. Solomon is six years and one of our six grandchildren. He and his Mamaw had been talking on Shabbat (saturday) about ‘asking Yeshua to come live in his heart’ (just as we are sure his Mom & Dad have talked with him many times). Shlomi (Solomon) excitedly told his Mamaw “I want to do it . . . I want to live forever with Yeshua !” We were overjoyed. It was an honor and privilege for his Mamaw to pray with him to access Yeshua (Jesus). We drove the boys back home after their day with Mamaw & Papaw. Solomon was so excited and couldn’t wait to share with his Mom & Dad when he got home. We are so glad he had the opportunity to share and make it public today (sunday). We are privileged and honored that our children are raising their children in the nurture and admonition of our Lord. We claim all our grandchildren for the Kingdom in Yeshua’s Name.. All glory and thanks to our Father and Yeshua for the work on the cross and for the drawiing power of the Ruach of God. Mamaw&Papaw (Jerry/Rhonda).

Shabbat Shalom

Thus says Yahweh, “Stand by the way and look and seek after the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; And you shall find rest for your souls . . .” Jeremiah 6:16

May the response in this generation be more pleasing than that of old . . . Shabbat Shalom

What’s The Word Say? – 5/21/15

This week we take one more quick ‘fly-over’ concerning Melchizedek and the concept of being ‘Priests and Kings’ and members of the Royal Priesthood of Messiah. From there we touch down and spend time examining the subject of Baptism in it’s three distinct forms as laid out in The Word. As Pentecost (Feast of Weeks / Shavuot) approaches, studying a little more deeply the concept of baptism and ‘the baptism of the Holy Spirit’ in particular seemed not only an appropriate subject
but a concept and reality much needed in our lives in these days.

Shalom to you and yours in Messiah Yeshua.

So What’s The Word Say ? May 14th, 2015

This week we take a quick peek at Paul’s statement concerning being ‘unequally yoked’.  We then look at a thread that begins in Genesis and runs all the way through The Revelation concerning another perspective on ‘who we are in Messiah’.   What does it mean to be ‘priests and kings’ ?   What’s the Word Say ?   Let’s begin . . .
Shalom U’Vrachot to you in these days – J&R

Re-Post – ‘So What’s The Word Say?’ May 7th, 2015

This week on What’s The Word Say? we talk about who we are in Messiah.  Just what does it mean to be a Hebrew, one of Abraham’s seed, as opposed to be from Judah or Jewish.  We also talk about clean vs. unclean and what it means to profane Yahweh’s name among the nations.  Controversial ideas – maybe, Informative – You bet!  Not what man says, but… What’s the Word say?

“when a woman gives birth . . .”

we originally posted this last year.It seemed timely to repost. This is more of an outline than an article but hopefully it makes the point . . . Shalom –

Some Torah thoughts to Ponder . . . ‘When a woman gives birth . . .’

22JUL

Some Torah Thoughts to Ponder . . . ‘When a Woman gives birth . . .’

Leviticus 12:1-8   ‘. . . and when a woman gives birth . . .’

As we go through this, please notice the offerings in this passage are very similar to some of those among the weekly offerings of Sukkot, the time of the regathering of the House of Israel . . .

Who birthed Israel (Jacob)? – Rebekah
Who birthed Messiah ? – Israel

For female offspring – 14 days (2 sets of 7) and 66 days – two sets of 33 . . . for a total of two sets of 40 (fulfillment of judgment, things being set right, completion) . . .
one for each House of Israel. Remember, Israel was divided into two houses and it was God’s doing .
Another place we see ‘two sets of 7’ are in the seven daily offerings of Sukkot, the regathering of the House of Israel, the Bride, the female . . .
( Num. 29:12-34)

For a male child – 7 days (one set of 7) and 33 days, for a total of 40 . . .- (fulfillment of judgment, things being set right, completion) . . . on the 8th day the boy is circumcised.

After the total days of her uncleanness are finished ( whether a male or female child) and she is clean, she presents to the Priest the offering of the lamb and the dove, an offering before the Lord to make atonement and she shall be clean from the flow of blood.
(Lev. 12:6-7)

It is interesting at the age of 33 Yeshua (the Lamb) dies and as the High Priest He makes atonement for His bride, offering His Blood as the Lamb, and she is made clean from the blood. ( Let His blood be on us and on our children Matt. 27:25-) . . . and after His departure the Dove was sent . . .

Yeshua came only for the House of Israel . . . In Numbers 29:35-36 we see one set of 7 lambs and one bull . . . for now the two houses have become one . . .‘and the two sticks shall become one in My Hand, says the Lord ( Eze. 37:19). . .’
one restored house . . . one set of 7 plus 33 (Yeshua) =  40 (completion, restoration) plus one bull symbolizing One Nation; and the One Lamb and one Dove signify the uncleanness has been taken away. . .

The offerings during the week of Sukkot . . .
Each day – 14 lambs . . . two sets of 7

On the 8th day of Sukkot . . . one bull and one set of 7 lambs . . . symbolizing completion.

On the eighth day of the male child there is ‘circumcision’ . . . the uncleanness is taken away. At the conclusion of each time period – 33 plus 7 days for the male child, 66 plus 14 (two sevens) for the female child – the mother presents the offerings – Lamb and the Dove – signifying the uncleanness has been taken away . . . One scenario symbolizes the two houses to BE restored and the other scenario signifies the One House Restored.
It is interesting in these short eight verses we see the two houses of Jacob becoming the one restored House in the Father’s Hand through the atoning work of Messiah Yeshua.

Before Israel went into the Land, preparing to keep the Passover, they were all ‘circumcised’ and the uncleanness was rolled away – Gilgal .
The first time they went in was at Passover, the second time will be at Sukkot (Zech.14).
Shalom – R&J
