IMPORTANT UPDATE RE: DEC 10TH MEETING
This posting is to update everyone on necessary changes in the event scheduled for Dec 10th in Stanford KY featuring Joel Sanchez of Crucified Life Ministries.
PLEASE, DO NOT SKIM THIS POSTING (as I often do), BUT READ IT IN IT’S ENTIRETY.
After a lengthy phone conversation this morning between Bro. Joel, Rhonda and I concerning his need to cancel his visit with us next weekend due to family concerns, we not only agree with, but encourage and support his decision. We, with Joel’s permission, will share with you here some of the reasoning for the cancellation and then, explain why we still desire to meet as planned on Dec 10th to support (even in his absence) Bro. Joel and his family in this most important work of missions, outreach and discipleship to which God has called them.
As many of you know, Joel’s younger brother, Josh, died tragically in a motorcycle crash earlier this year. Josh’s high-school-age son, Ross, plays football. This past week, Ross’ team won their tournament, allowing them to go to the State Finals. Since the untimely death of his father, Ross has been drawn to his uncle Joel as the one who most reminds him of his Dad. Well, Brother Joel shared with us that, just last evening, his nephew, Ross, came to him and said how sad he was his Dad could not be at this championship game, and the one who reminds him most of his Dad – his uncle Joel – couldn’t be there either due to the ministry work and the trip to Kentucky. After a time of hugging and weeping (it broke our hearts just hearing this recounted) and much contemplation on his part, Joel made the difficult decision concerning the trip to Kentucky.
For many years, Rhonda and I have shared the sad truth that many times, the PRIMARY MINISTRY (the most important work of Moms and Dads, MawMaws and PawPaws, aunts and uncles) which is Ministry to our Families, gets sacrificed on the altar of ‘organized public ministry’ or ‘the church’ or ‘the congregation’. For this reason, we agree and support his decision to cancel his trip to Kentucky. BUT . . . .
We STILL want to support them in their work there, SO . . . we are asking that the ones who planned to attend this event to HEAR brother Joel, would STILL attend and support him and his family and their work by coming together in a time of praise and worship and fellowship and GIVING. We, as was planned originally, will receive a free-will offering to offset his expenses during this state-side trip and support the Biblical work there in Costa Rica.
BUT WE MUST KNOW NOW THAT ALL ARE STILL PLANNING TO ATTEND OR WE WILL HAVE TO CANCEL THE RESERVATIONS FOR THE MEETING HALL. ALTHOUGH BRO. JOEL IS NOT WITH US HERE, WE CAN STILL SUPPORT THE WORK TO WHICH GOD HAS CALLED HIM, which was the original intent of this meeting from the outset.

We are privileged and excited to host Bro. Joel Sanchez of Crucified Life Ministries on Saturday December 10th at 1:00pm EST. the meeting will be held at the Ball Room of 1st Southern National Bank, 2nd Floor above the BlueBird Cafe, downtown Stanford, parking and entrance at the rear of the building,located at the corner of Main Street and Depot Street; NO STAIRS, and easy access. There is additional parking in the parking garage as well as street parking. There will be a time of praise and worship, followed by Bro. Joel speaking on the topic ‘Purpose – Walking out your Calling’.
The aftermoon will conclude with a Potluck fellowship time. We ask everyone to bring an entree and either side-dish or dessert. Please make sure all dishes are ‘biblically clean’, and if you are unsure as to what that entails, just contact us by email, PM or phone. We will receive a free-will offering to offset expenses and support Bro. Joel and his family in their mission, outreach and discipleship work there in Costa Rica.
The meeting time and location on Sunday Dec 11th is TBA.

Our Father desires relationship rather than just obligatory obedience . . . and certain Biblical fundamentals are non-negotiable, or at least should be . . .

We know it’s kind of impromptu and last-minute, but we are planning to host a friend and fellow-laborer, Joel Sanchez of Crucified Life Ministries of Costa Rica, on December 10th and 11th here in the Crab Orchard – Danville, KY area.( times and locations TBA) He will be sharing about their mission,outreach and discipleship work there in-country as well as the topic ‘Purpose – Walking out Your Calling’.
