    I only have two questions.
    1. Where in scripture are we given instructions to formulate a lunar calendar?
    2. How was the Sabbath determined before the creation of the Roman calendar in 46 BC?

Concerning your questions, first the ‘lunar calendar’. There is no instruction in Scripture concerning a ‘lunar calendar’. The Biblical calendar is a combination lunar/solar calendar, based on the passage in Genesis 1:14 . . . The greco-roman calendar is solar and the muslim calendar is lunar. Concerning the determination of the weekly sabbath. The day that we now call ‘saturday’ has always been the ‘7th day’. When Pope Gregor made his changes to the calendar, he did not change the progression of the days of the weekly cycle. He merely changed the dates ( going from the 5th to the 15th, I believe) but he did NOT change the progression of the 7-day cycle. According to the records of the US Naval Observatory (the ‘official’ keepers of time), as far back as we can go in recorded history, the day that we call saturday, (although called by different names in different cultures and languages) has always been the ‘7th day’.
